    Default Pluriel anyone !!

I was at Gold Coast European Autos yesterday picking up my C2 from service and was talking to Greg Western from sales, there are come crazy prices going on brand new orange Pluriels. Apparently as the story goes, Japan had a shipment of Pluriels that were never launched or sold and sat forgotten in a lonely warehouse. So they have been sent to Aus, 2 for each dealer. Greg said he was selling his for around $25000. !! i think they are usually around 30 something grand ? that is a cheap convertable Super! if orange and wind swept hair is your thing.

Has anyone else had the new C2 sensodrive update? Not sure if I like it, yet. The shifts are smoother, but almost to the point of over riding the clutch thru the changes. Have not had the clutch snap into 1st at low speed tho, might need to re-map my right foot.

Confirmed today from a reputable source that these Pluriels do indeed exist although dealers are checking them out before taking them on AFAIK.

I think the relationship between a gift and a horse is being tested prior to commitment

Have done for some years. I'm lead to believe a few other euro makers sell cars there too - small companies like Chrysler Benz, BMW, Audi - you may not have heard of them....

Ahh... yes the small fry, well, i don't really consider them as competition... They're market reach is quite limited, compared to Citroen and it's sibling Poogoe

I was in Japan in April and visited the workshop of www.javel.co.jp. (I even saw a CX on a street in Nagoya.)

He had a dozen D's CX's (including a turbo prestige which I think might be quite rare - not an expert on these) etc that he was doing up in his Tokyo garage and apparently had another 30 cars at a holding pen near Narita Airport (cheaper than storing in downtown Tokyo).

The garage has been open for 50 years. Was a general workshop when his father ran it, but is now exclusively classic Citroen (since late 70's I think).

Really nice guy who was is scouring the planet for cars to do up and sell to Japanese enthusiasts. (He hasn't discovered Australia yet!)

    Re: Japan.
Some of the best DIY Citroen sites on the net are based there and have a bunch of very keen Cit enthusiasts. Yohsuke Narabayashi, a MD has one, Moribayashi another and there's a few more.

On the local scene though, these cars are good buying but I don't think the Brisbane Car Dealer who advertised this one in the Trading Post would agree; don't fancy his chances on a quick sale.

It is a sensodrive. The dealers have no idea whats what. They see citroen and throw their arms up in the air.

What gets me is the price! I paid less (slightly) for mine at 6 months old with 6,000km on the clock.
