There should be a few including C5s, C3s, C2s and some Xsaras.

I'm booked at the Dubbo Cabin & Parklands (big4 Caravan & cabin chain)

    website www.dubboparkland.com.au

which is closer to both venues .i.e. The Zoo & West Dubbo Bowling Club
where the beer is better than any other boozer in the fair city (IMHO) It will be nice to stagger home to bed after imbibing on a drop of fine Tooheys black!!& not having to worry about plod.
The Rack of Lamb in the dining room at the bowling club is VERY good as is the other selections
I can recommend the early morning tour at the Zoo. (6am start as I remember)

The caravan park mentioned above is in my opinion, more secure than the Dubbo City park.

    Cheers Pete

    Well John,

I think you already know that my family will be in the Dubbo City CP. I guess we will just have to wing the security issue but I'm not anticipating any problems - we will have a cabin and our Xantia still locks up pretty well. Might even get a BX there too if Dave comes and an AX as well if I can persude young AXGT to drive up from Sydney for some of the time.

But I doubt you will see my 1976 CX wagon in the flesh! Cit-in would have to be a bit closer to Brissie to get that one there in its current condition.

    Looking forward to meeting you

    Ken W

If I was brave enough to drive a CX all the way from the south of Victoria ... Would you then bring one from Brisbane

    seeya,
    Shane L.
PS: how about if we schedule the sun to be behind the clouds for a day or so for a trip there and home ... That'll make it a hell of a lot more comfortable

I'm getting exited already, and it's still 7 months away!
The security issue doesn't affect me, as my cars will be safely locked up, 11,500 miles away
I'm still looking for a lift from paramatta to dubbo if anyone has a spare seat...with a contribution toward the fuel of course!

It would be nice if people stopped worrying about security in Dubbo. Do not believe everything you see or hear on "A Current Beat Up" starring Rave Marshin. There is a very small pocket of Dubbo that has some cultural and poverty issues that is some distance from where Cit In is. My brother lives less than 50m from where Cit In is centred and this is a safe area of town.

However, it may interest to you know that the two times I do know of "crime" happening to Cit In attendees were once in SA when Deb had all her makeup stolen while in the shower block at a c'van park and in Tassie a few Cits were egged and vandalised.

Anyway, we have received the first registration form and payment for Cit In. Pajamas holds the honour (of being completely CitroTragic )

I'm with UFO on this one, every town/city you go in the world, there are good places, and bad places, but you still go there. Unless it's Liverpool in England. I had my hubcaps nicked there once, thing is, I was doing 100kph at the time!!! john s

Well, smiffy prompted it, so an update:

As of last night (24/1) we have 77 registrations. Therefore on 133 places are remaining. As the price goes up next Wednesday (1/2) I was not surprised to see three registrations in the mailbox yesterday morning. (Andy, got your form thanks!)

Gee's I'll have to send that off tonight.

Craig, I don't have a cheque book. Would a post office money order be ok (even better does the club have credit card facilities).
