Default The turbo and its ugly sunroof

Well another attack today and the sun roof is out AND READY FOR THE RELINE note! how nasty the installation of the sunroof is although the roof its self is very classy with tilt and slide function also the way the original board has been sliced up .I am going to try to fill in the gaps with compressed fibre glass sheet to create the same profile as original but did the turbo have the upholstered panel down the centre as per the prestige and turbo diesel?

I can't see how that works from the photo's. Though it does appear to be the same concept as the BX roof. It's designed to leak into that metal pan, where it drains via the drain pipes (or in your case, drain via the disconnected drain pipes onto the rooflining, down the pillars and rusts the floors ).

A car is always as good as who has worked on it in the past. I'd love to know what 'specialist' did that work on your car in the past.

In case you were wondering, this (although a lesser model) is roughly what it should look like inside, and what they normally look like outside! john s

Too bad you're on the other side of the world, as I have another of these cars that I am scrapping, and all the interior roof lining I would give it away for no-cost!
Sadly, it will go in the bin as I doubt if anyone would pay the shipping charges on this sort of stuff! john s
