Firstly, welcome to the forum (I know you joined a while ago, but still)

Its interesting this appeared on that website.

But it should be noted that the award was for Automotive design ONLY. WADA stands for Wheels Automotive Design Awards. It is not Car Of The Year (WCOTY).

The same magazine, Wheels placed the car 6th out of 9 of it its competitors in the Septmeber issue.

As Wheels point out, whether its the best in its class or not depends on your preferences.

It's like driving a truck... The price is way too high for a measely 2.0L which doesn't even have good fuel consumption.

Even with "Sport" mode on, it just revs more and goes nowhere.

yeah I saw that on Monday. She didn't speak too highly of it.

Is it just me or has she plumped up a little bit recently? Maybe it was just my new widescreen that I was watching it on.

went test drive c4 vts yeaterday first impression... looks good, clutch feels funny, the seats feel better than megane sport... oh fixed glassroof on the road my elbow hit the central armrest every gear change, pushy salesman sitting next to me saying "why buy megane, ugly butt... best car of the year next year rally car story... can you buy one today?..." feels like he's been rehearsing, bit turn off shuts him down a bit with a massive oversteer on wet roundabout [ESP on] well overall it's a nice car, need sometime to get used to the gear change and clutch, maybe it's only 6 month I driven a manual car

I expect too much from both rs megane and c4vts, bad influence from brochure, atleast now I can take them off my day-dream list for awhile

would like to know what other people think about this car

I was at the CX rally here in England last weekend. There was a guy there, with a lovely series 1 prestige. Turns out he works at Citroen UK, and has a C4 VTS coupť diesel as a company car. He reckons it drives much nicer than the petrol model, and is a quicker car around town. Notice I didn't say "faster", but "quicker". Seems to me like the diesel is the one to go for.
I've not had the pleasure yet, but make of that what you will.

They are insane for not offering one. It is a growing market and all the british mags have said the C4 works far better with the new PSA HDI engines than petrol.

The Megane is being updated (important revisions to suspension and steering) so it will be interesting to see how the C4 fares against that.

1.6HDi C4 (in the 5dr) will be here in January. Manual only, I think. Same power as the 1.6P but loads more torque. Should be a good thing.

That sounds promising. The C5 diesels offered here being only auto I thought the C4 might go the same way. I find something appealingly subversive in the idea of the 2.0 coupe in diesel as well

Mee too, but the three a year Citroen Australia would sell means that it won't come here.
