    Default Berlingo engine oil leak

My 1999 Citroen Berlingo with 86,000 kms has developed an oil leak of a size that cannot be ignored. The leakage appears to be coming from the vicininty of the head gasket at the front right side corner near the power steering pump.

The vehicle is otherwise running perfectly and I would like if any other members have knowledge of a leak like this.

The cylinder head has not been retensioned since new.

    What engine does it have?

The diesels sometimes pop the head gasket here - the main oil feed to the head is in this area (My Xantia TD went that way). I doubt retorquing the head bolts will do any good, since they are stretch type. But considering the alternative, it might be worth seeing if you can get a little bit on them. If not, you've not lost anything, as it's head off time anyway.

Very surprised it has given out at such low mileage though - mine had done 112k miles (180k kms).

The engine is the 1.4 petrol.
