    Default Xsara clutch grab height

    Hey all

Just wanting to know if any other Xsara VTS owners think thier clutch grab height is a little high? I've stalled the car a couple of times now because I just cant get used to the clutch .
Can this be adjusted or could something be wrong? I dont remember my MI 16 being that high.

I haven't had a problem with my grab height its the free play at the start that is alittle concerning for me. as far as I know there isn't any adjustment on this but whould be keen to find out if there is.

If your still under warranty get it checked out.

    Cheers

I haven't had any trouble with it.

The travel of the clutch is longer than my girlfriends camry, but shorter than the C4 (damn it's long!).

i wonder how hard (and costly) it is to convert it to hydraulic clutch.

I find it difficult to use when wearing my work boots as i cannot feel the pedal beneath me, but on the other hand it feels ok when wearing my Sparco's.

Well there you go. I didn't have a clue that it was a cable clutch, there isn't much room there for a master cylyder unless you mounted it remotely, would it give much of a benefit though?

I asked the dealer when I took the car: They called it self adjsuted (some word like that).

You will feel better after month anyway.

Your right on that, i've had the car a month now and am getting used to it. Still seems high though.

I'm going to take it to the dealer and see what they say(also get them to fix the mirror switch - thank god for warranty).

Whats the Brisbane dealer like? I've always used Euroserve, bit nervous about using the dealer.
