    Default Bx Progress so far

Well getting there with the Bx
This is the bumper last week:

This is the bumper this morning:

This is the little strip that sits on the bumper (now colour matched to bumper):

This is the rear qtr panel strip which was black and didn't suit the car which is now colour matched aswell (using lots of flexible additive so hopefully it wont crack):

Now I just need to get a red strip to put on the front bumper or paint the old one red and put it back on. Be nice to have it all back together!!!

Looking good Dave, look forward to seeing it on Sunday

GB is very envious of your workshop space to take on these kind of projects, looks like you are quite handy with the spray gun... might have to book you for half a dozen weekends

    Cheers

Ken W will actually have to take credit for the spray gun work. But it was me that spent the 5 zillion hours sanding the bastard back!!!

Its not perfect as the bumper had some bad gouges and scratches in it that haven't been completely filled but its 100% better than it used to be.

I was quite happy with my Plastic welding with a soldering iron - the grille was broken at almost every join before I started on it.

Looking good Dave ... It's fun sanding bumpers, isn't it

So a BX tzi is your next project. I was thinking you'd be a BX 16valve sort of a person (don't you like a challenge ??).

Well there's no point me posting last week and this week photos of the GS roof - they'd be identical haha... so the GS won't be there this Sunday.
May possibly be showing up in mum's Xantia.

Look forward to seeing the ??, Dave

    Bruce,

I'm sure we'll let you bring the Xsara even though it doesn't have green blood.

Looking forward to catching up with you - we are going to try and do the 3 cars for 20 bux job - just to keep the renos in their place.

The trick is not to take it for a "Test Drive" before Sunday.

Last time I spent a heap of time redoing TZi bumpers for a certain son, he managed to pick up a Rotty Ridgeback mongrel @ around 110KPH and stuffed the whole job.

Incidentally, lastw e heard, they still hadn't found the dog. The bang it made, I get the feeling he may have put it into orbit!!

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!
