    Default GS query

    Hi all

Just got a '77 GS up and running as a daily driver and it's been tramlining big time. Seems to only do it when accelerating so I'm wondering if it's an engine mount? Mind you it also does it when cruising at a constant speed so I'm not sure what it could be

It's got one dodgy driveshaft, a few bushes need doing and possibly a ball joint but apart from that it looks oright. I've also swapped tyres around to no avail.

    Anyone got a clue?

    cheers

    Lower control arm bushes?
Option #2 - Rear arm bearings?
Option #3 - Wheels toeing in instead of out?

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

    ...and it's roadworthy?

Engine mounts were done on said car... but GS's seem to go through them. Easy to source, though.

That'll do it... Does it have a worn tie-rod? You'll likely need to fix that stuff first, because you can't even get the wheel alignment right with play in the system
