Tack fŲr rekommendation Michael, Rally Chicks var underbar i moe šn ett sštt.

By the title it probably wouldn't have caught my attention except for the co-incidence of reading this thread at the time it was about to be screened! I set it to record but ended up watching the whole thing, a visual feast of mostly French classics and the leading driver was admirably determined.

    No Citroens were harmed...

Not really a Movie. Channel Nine's Love Child gave decent coverage of a DS. (Covered in red paint)

Awful lot of French cars in that clip. I wonder where the director found them all.

Don't forget Gattaca, the main car is a cabriolet, but there are others D's that make fast appearances throughout.

Plenty here: House of Secrets 1956.
Look for the DS in the opening titles. It would have been a very early example.

Caught that film playing late last night. Did you catch Studebaker Avanti and Rover 2000 P6?

Thannks David, looks interesting. Nice when movies were made using the correct language for the location. The Italians speak Italian, the French speak French, no need for subtitles.

Lots of amazing street scenes too with plenty of French classics. But what is the cabrio at around 8.5 mins?

Just at the airport killing time and not sure if this info fits the context of the post, but in Robin William's Good Morning Vietnam, there is a scene where a GS Pallas gets a door ripped off as the car is sideswiped. There are other Citroens in that flick for memory. Chris M

    A few more...

Le Samourai starring Alain Delon - great French 60s noir by Director Jean-Pierre Melville. Alain spends minutes rifling through a set of DS master keys to steal one for a getaway car. This car and others feature prominently through the middle of the film. Film is one of the greats, rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It was adapted to US in 1978 as "the Driver" starring Ryan O'Neal (although toned down in that Delon is a hitman whereas ONeal is just a getaway driver) which was the prototype for the recent "getaway" and fast and furious genre films, all of which which suffer in comparison.

The ONLY car to appear in the Nicolas Roeg directed horror/thriller "Don't Look Now" is a Citroen ID 2x break in the opening scenes. Most of the film takes place in Venice, no further automobiles. Squeamish viewers should tune out before the ending...

Classic 60s detective / car chase film Bullitt (Steve McQueen): completely filmed on location in San Francisco, is that a DS cruising along the freeway in the background during the scene where Steve is checking out the "safe house" prior to stashing his witness in it? Believe so, will go through in slo-mo to check. Spoiler: house turns out to be not so safe. EDIT: revisited these scenes and the DS cruises past in the scene at about 55 min when Steve returns to the [not so] safe house and gazes pensively out the window. Unmistakeable white DS floats by...

My guess a HQ wagon. I'm also guessing the vinyl roof should make it a Premier??

    Cos they are ...

As recently as a couple of days ago, I was talking to a lady about a local development.
"Are you an architect?" She asked.
    "Yes."

As we both left the premises at the same time, she spotted my C5.
    "Must be yours," she said...

Anecdotally, from a comment once made to me by Glenn Murcutt, I think he drove one as well.
    Once upon a time:

    Many R4s (incl. fourgonnette), R5LS, R16TS.

GS 1015, 1220, sedans and wagons.
    CX 2200, 2400.
    ID 1966, 1969, DS21H, DSpecial, DS23 Pallas.
    C5 2002, 2004 petrol and diesel.
sold ..... D Special 1974 ... to fellow Tassie AFer.
sold ..... Xantia Activa 1998 (look out Gulargambone)
sold .....GS 5 speed sedan (what a tale)
    sold .... 1986 2CV6

    And now:

    C5 2.2 HDI 2005 wagon
    CX25GTi 1985 auto
    CX2500 IE Pallas 1985 auto
    DS23 1973 Pallas
    DS23EFI 1975 Pallas
