    Hot ignition key in Xantia

I wondered if anyone had any advice about this one! Sometimes my Xantia key is warm to hot to the touch when I remove it after driving somewhere - daytime that is.

Generally the A/C has been on since I bought the car but I haven't been running anything else.

If anyone has experienced and/or dealt with this, I'd be interested to hear.

    Thanks

    John,

Could be something as simple as contact grease needed but then again it could be load or dodgy contacts.
Suggest you ask the question on Andyspares forum & see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

I would have the switch and its relationship to the ventilation fans checked out. I know this souinds whacko, but it is a known problem in Xantias and occassionally XMs. The vent fans are never actually off, they always draw current and this is switched by the ignition switch. BX was the same but didn't have the overheat problem.

Esp. if car is in warranty still get it checked NOW before your warranty expires.
