Default CENSUS ON Pre '66 LONG STROKE DS & ID

Don't know if this is relevent on this site but as Middlemoon is trying to relocate a swag of early ID parts it has made me wonder how many out there are still interested in the early cars.
This CENSUS might help us to know how many early cars are still around and in what condition.

How many Pre '66 LONG STROKE DS & ID cars are left in Australia.
Are people driving them and where??
These rough figures are best to my knowledge and any criticisms are welcome.

So -- ANY UDATES PLEASE --- John Paas (Brisbane)

Hi John, Thanks for putting in the effort to keep a record of these rare cars, I hope all Australian owners will contribute information on cars that are going, or are still awaiting restoration.

    My safari is as follows

1961 ID19 sedan, engine number 19314341 converted to safari, good driving condition.

I am aware of the following australian sedans

    19119843 1960
    193014304
    193015570 1966
    19728153 1962

also the following complete unrestored cars
    1964 safari ch 3504324 eng 022.021221 (french)
    1964 safari ch 3506558 eng 163000429 (french)
    1961 sedan ch 9/7824 eng 19720461 (slough ID19)
1966 sedan ch 3684788 eng 3560168873 (french ID19, may no lobnger exist)

I hope other long stroke car owners will make the effort to get out registration papers, or look under the bonnets to contribute information.

C'mon Andrew, I thought a dedicated Citroen enthusiast such as yourself would know the difference between long and short stroke motors.

I would have thought it should be long stroke, would you be able to post the chassis number before u sell it ?

And when you have time, the chassis number of any other long stroke cars you have ??

Default I love a long stroke!!

Nah...more interested in the shape and love the thinking behind the car
    and the people involved...
    Don't they run on air??
now I have sold the DS21 the ID19 is not for sale..it was one or the other..not both
I will never be without a DS of some sort
    Cheers

Hi. If your car has a harmonic balancer it can only be a long stroke motor, all 100mm of it!
