Seems to be accurate to, the number on our 2CV is 3153 which equates to 27th June 1985. We knew it was 1985 but now know the day it was made......wonder what I was doing that day...........

Just a little tip to make life easier for those using the ORGA system; whenever it says "Drivers side" they are referring to LHD vehicles, so unless you have an imported car with the steering wheel where the passenger should sit, the number is on the kerbside.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

My car doesn't have one of those numbers

Any other ways to find out exactly when it was built?

You should find your ORGA on the door frame passenger front, unless the car has been repainted at some time

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

I suspect mine has been repainted. I can find it on Kens AX, dads Bx and the Xantia, but not on my car.

    No other ideas?

My XM arrived on the road on the 12 sep 1994. I have been unable to locate the code that will tell me which factory she came from. Where is the said code located.

Hey Holger, that's a pretty nice looking CX you have there, is it a C-matic or full automatic? Was it a reasonable price?
I'm just trying to work out how much a car like that would be worth here.
Most of the general locals want V8 Fords or Holdens, and they laugh at cars like Citroens. They just have no idea (N.F.I.) about what they are missing.
That's ok with me because it means that older Citroens sell for very low prices compared to the more popular cars that guzzle petrol and have very BORING suspension and body designs.

A good CX like that should fetch $10k youd think. I have 2 1976 CX2200's which I hope to start restoring soon. I only wish I had one like that. The CX will have its day I think, buy them now while they are giving them away I say!

Well, I must say I was lucky. A got a hint from another Enthusiast, jumped into the car to drive in all 1.200km Germany/Switzerland on that day - just to check this car. (for Aussies that's not a distance, that's a little jump!) )

It was well worth the effort! As promised in the ad it has a perfect substance, technically it has been more than well serviced. The 83.900 km also appear to be realistic and true.

I was looking for a CX with the motto: such a CX or rather no CX at all! Took me one year to find one.

Only the tyres are worn and the interior needs some investment. I paid 3,700 Euros for it, which to my opinion was a very fair deal.

I also think that the time of the CX is still ahead. We'll have to wait another 10 years or so.

    Cheers

    Holger
