    Default BX and Peugeot 306 wheels

    It may be obvious, but does someone know if the wheels are the same for both cars as well as the tyre size?

    Thanks

    JohnW

    (Haven't QUITE slipped into the BX yet, but we're nearly there....)

    Yes. It's a disease! There was a BX19 Tzi Wagon for sale a few months back and I went to have a look. Very good nick. It's been properly looked after and cost about what I need to spend on the Virage over the next couple of years - full engine overhaul and paint can't be put off indefinitely, although it'll probably go for years.

    So the Virage is for sale for $800. Do you want it? A box of odd spares is free.

    The BX is in hospital with Euromotive for a little while having a couple of things dealt with - nothing major at all but the odd fiddly bit. What a revelation it is - I must have missed the 80s French cars completely. This is a 1990 one, so Mk2, and inside and out is very good indeed.

    I had the 16TS out today - can't believe how good these 145-14 Nangkang tyres are.

    Cheers

    John,

    This may help;

    http://www.tyresave.co.uk/fitment.html

    In a nutshell, they have the same studpattern and c/bore but may have slighty different offset. I'd reckon they would fit OK though.

    Tyre size is an unknown. It depends what you have on the 306. I'm guessing 185/65 14's (as came standard on mine). I don't know what tyre size the BX TZi came with but my 16v has 195/60 14's standard. I later fitted 195/60 14's to my 306 with no problems.

    Confused you yet?

    Thanks for that. Both have 175/65 14 tyres fitted to the steel wheels.

    Cheers

    She's a manual. From Perth to Sydney is 99% top gear, so once you got going.......

    As far as I know, Lulu's never seen Sydney - I'm sure she'd be interested!
