A French vehicle that was not even manufactured until 1947 and then it would have been split screen not the later single screen as per the pics. This DEMANDS an inquisition!

    Now, the important questions are:

    Is Ang OK?

    Has she had counselling?

It might be worthwhile making some discreet inquiries as to the fate of this vehicle (and maybe others) after filming has finished. There have been some American movies made here in Australia previously, and after filming is completed they just auction everything off rather than take it all back to the US. There was one movie filmed here in Sydney where they auctioned off pretend American police cars complete with spare parts including body panels, windscreens etc. They often go through the major auction houses.
I was lucky enough to have purchased some of the Moulin Rouge movie pieces at auction about 10 years ago.

If you want to see some old French cars (mainly H vans and DS's), look at the old Mission Impossible series currently being screened on channel 1 / 12 at 1pm.

    regards
    Glenn

Saw the same H van on a truck as Carolyn and I drove to the markets in Fyshwick (Canberra if you haven't lived a decent life and don't know where it is) yesterday. Unfortunately it wasn't dropped off at our place as the driveway was empty when we got home.

That's interesting, I know of a guy in SE Corner of Qld who makes a business of supplying cars for movies, he has a very large collection of all sorts of car, lot of them American, with a collection of spare panels to handle scenes that require accidents etc.

I love the H Van. Always reminds me of a horizontal version of the old Australian corrugated iron dunny, but with wheels.

There a Citroen H Van in Penrith at Underground Coffee Roasters Castlereagh Road, In fact the guys there are a bit "Citroen" when you buy their coffee. Their H Van has been, of course converted to a hipster mobile coffee outlet. It was imported and restored for Aussi roads and still has the original engine etc.

There is often a Citroen H Van in the main street in Balmain, Sydney. I think it finds the surrounding corrugated iron roofs very welcoming.

There is an immaculate H van (ice cream van ) owned by a Wagga woman. She travels to markets in Riverina area.
