Default Strange error Codes after replacing battery on C5 x7 2L RHH

The car has travelled 1,300kms since the battery was changed last week. Drives as it should. We are now getting some weird codes we can't clear.

    Symptoms:
    - Flashing orange check engine light
    - Cannot set speed limiter or cruise control. (each time it is switched on, it is paused)
    - Remote fob has stopped working

    Codes:
    ECU
U1318 Intersystems CAN (can't find anything on this I understand using google)
    P0610 Downloading/Configuration (can't find anything)

    BSI
F5FF Unexpected initialisation fault of BSI
C98A Engine relay unit: fault front right side light
C99A Engine relay unit: Fault light side light
    F40A: Oil gauge fault

I have tried resetting the BSI but now the remote no longer works, not sure what to do. The car is a 2010 C5 x7 2L RHH.

    Anyone have any insights?

To change the battery, you must let the computer snooze after you get out before disconnecting, and let the computer sort itself (reboot) after connection before doing anything. Was this done? If not, do it now. Have a cuppa each time and be certain.

The computer is never off while battery voltage is present - it detects remotes, key security, doors open, etc. Like desktop computers it must be allowed to close and start properly.

We removed battery after car sat idle for 5 mins. We then connected the new battery and did a BSI reset. The remote was working before original battery removal, did not work after new battery install and bsi reset. I also tried a a key fob resynch, switched on ignition and pressed one of the remote butoons for 10 secs and then ignition off, still no luck with the remote.

I'm an idiot, who would have thought the remote Fob's battery needed changing. That fixed the remote. Will do another BSI reset tomorrow and see where that leads us

We successfully complete a BSI reset but we are still getting the following:

    Symptoms:
    - Flashing orange check engine light
    - Cannot set speed limiter or cruise control. (each time it is switched on, it is paused)

    Codes:
    ECU
    U1318 Intersystems CAN
    P0610 Downloading/Configuration

    BSI
    F40A: Oil gauge fault

    DSG
U1213 Fault in the vehicle speed information receive by the CAN from the ABS or ESP CPU

The car is a 2010 C5 x7 2L RHH. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I think it would be a good idea to check if you are getting vacuum to the electro valves at the back/top of the motor. The vacuum tubes are easily dislodged if work has been done on the motor. These small valves are so important and are linked to the symptoms you described for the cruise. If you log on to Citroen Service Box and register, you will be able to bring up illustrations of the vacuum circuit. Allan.

My car has a U1213 fault continuously. I think they all do this and those in the UK say just live with it. I would be happy to be proved wrong by someone who know what to do to cure it.

    Cheers, Ken
