    Default ECU, BSI replacement options

    Hi All,

My Partner van is having it's ECU and BSI bench tested but....they can't test them 100%

    I'm now considering installing a second-hand security set (ECU,BSI, & Keys)

Someone told that no re-programming will be required? True or False?

But someone else said the injectors will need to be programmed to the ECU? True or False?

    Your thoughts will greatly appreciated,

    Regards Snooze

It's a lot easier to run just one instead of three identical threads in different parts of the forum, so it is probably best that replies might be added to this thread in the Peugeot forum:
Partner Belingo BSI? Engine not starting her

If you do swap the BSI/ECU kit, remember that the vehicle then thinks it is the donor vehicle.

    Hi David,

My apologies, in future I'll run only one thread
Thanks for heads up on donor vehicle,it has less Kms than mine so should be ok?
I'm considering using a Berlingo ECU/BSI set from the same engine group will this be an issue?

    Kind Regards,

    The full story;-

    • Motor cranks over, sounds as if it is firing
    • Workshop that serviced the van, said that injectors 1 & 2 are faulty, stated they are not diesel mechanics and out of their scope
    • We installed 4 second hand injectors from a Belingo of the same year
    • Replaced BSM, as I had similar fault with my C5
    • Replacement BSM made no difference, re-installed original BSM
    • Discovered that Indicators, wipers, headlights and electric windows do not function
    • Intermittently some functions work occasionally;-central locking & Windows
    • Battery is 12-13volts, yet the display has always displayed Economy Mode
    • Display shows "Electronic Anti Theft Fault"
    • ECU, BSI key reader removed for bench testing, Injectronic not able to test 100% (as you stated, no one in Aust can test PSA electronics)
    • Now looking to purchase second hand ECU,BSI and keys

    Your input is greatly appreciated

    Kind Regards,
    Snooze

The key is faulty the remotes still work on these but the chip can die how many keys do you have? Wipers etc wonít work until engine starts. Get the parts back and get a new key coded a non remote key is very cheap I sell them for 30 bucks. You will need the access code.
