    Default CX2500 what's it worth??

    1984 auto with leather etc. It's white and everything works with good tyres. Needs a good clean. I know little about Citroen values so can anyone give me a ball park on it?

    Ed.

    Yep,

    easy. Somewhere between $0.00 and $10,000 most likely. Entirely dependant on milage and condition.

    Hope this helps

    If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

    Hi Ed,

    CX 2500 ie == automatic
    CX 2500 GTi == 5spd manual

    As you have said in the description it is an automatic, the car is a CX2500 ie. (unless of course it has a C-matic clutchless manual gearbox in it ?).

    heh so hard to sell any Citroen in this day and age (in Australia). You'll be lucky to even get a buyer (unless hes from Aussiefrogs).

    without trying to sound like someone we all know on here but if you can post some pics up of the car and give a fairly detailed report on it it may help these guys to give you a figure you can work from

    also by doing this you also spark some interest from a prospective buyer

    Not really,

    no harder than any other 25year old car. Alans CX sold within about 5minutes of being advertised, a CX C-matic I know of recently sold for $20,000 bux (right price, right buyer), to my knowledge the expensive CX wasn't even advertised.

    A CX2500 ie would be a great tractor for around town, it'd drag anything that'll swing from a towbar, will have great traction and be quite hard to bog (which you need when pulling tree stump and loads -- hard to bog == slugomatic).

    Of course a big help would be to advertise it with lots of pictures, describe exactly where it is, what it needs to bring it upto RW condition. It's good points etc, etc....

    I could be wrong here , but I get the impression Ed may be looking at buying rather than selling, in which case, it's his lucky day; there's been one advertised in the Trading Post in Brisbane.

    Yep and if it really was a 'T1' I assure you Alan Smith would have bought it site unseen over the phone.... They also never sold the turbo's in automatic form, such a beast doesn't exist (unless some crazy [email protected] tore out a nice 5spder and fitted a shitty slugomatic in it's place ).

    Actually you would be quite suprised. Havent you noticed how many C5's are going around these days? But then again its hard to sell them isnt it?

    Its quite rare to see a Citroen whilst driving around the city (sydney), however i have seen several C3's, Xsara and quite a few C5's.

    In my household alone there are 3 Citroens, 2002 C5, 2003 Xsara, 2004 Xsara and probably a fourth coming soon with the C3 Pluriel. (when its released)

    However when i was at Rick Damelian they admitted that it was hard to sell used Citroens and prices drop quite a bit.

    Rare? Mate im on Pitt Street right now and theres a silver C5 parked just down the road. My BX would be next to it but its at home sleeping. I live down south of the city and i see heaps. Mabye you and me are just both in the wrong place at the wrong time. Used citorens depend on so many things as well man, the model and the buyer, it took me 3 months to buy a Citroen and now i wouldnt buy anithing else, i love em!

    well i have seen one citroen in recent times and that was a turbo CX that was parked in town that must have been visiting as i saw it a couple of times and has since gone away

    other than that there was one i saw in cowra and i know who owns that one and would you believe it's another CX turbo (rare things these CX turbos )

    but seriously i hardly ever see a citroen even when driving around through other towns except for the odd C5 of which i saw one in bathurst which had the chevrons on the boot lid upside down

    I've seen a Silver one reguarly around Brighton-Le-Sands...

    Could be the same one, i see a few C3's but other then that not much...

    Still quite unknown, they need to spend a tad bit more on marketing. I've had so many people come to me asking questions, amazing.. some don't even know what Citroen is.. some people need to travel more often or watch the WRC

    Heaps of people stare aswell eh.
