    Default Rivet type?

Would anyone know what the rivet type is called that is being used in the ID heater vents?

they are aluminium and open on the other side (didn’t take a photo)... are they called “hollow rivets”? Or else? Where could I buy them?

    Thanks for your help gents.

Just google them. You will find different sellers call them different things. Go by ‘images’ until you find the right thing. Possibly ‘hollow end rivets’?

I think those are very similar to some types of aircraft rivets. Working at General Dynamics Convair eons ago, I remember some types of button head rivets with a solid body, and some with, as you describe a hollow body.

Just Googled them. “Semi tubular rivets” seems to pull up some interesting matches for you. Some have a flat head but others have the correct shallow dome. I will be going through the same job as you in the not too distant future I suspect so, if you have to buy them in quantity, I’d be interested in a hundred or so.
