    Default CitroMuseum, Castellane southern France.

The autocar.com.uk web page has a great article and many photo's about a private Citroen museum.

"Over the course of nearly 40 years, French enthusiast Henri Fradet has patiently and diligently put together a spectacular collection of over 110 post-war CitroŽn models. Theyíre housed in a museum named CitroMuseum located in Castellane, a small town in southern France".

The museum is open to the public with lots of very low mileage examples. Have any Aussiefroggers visited ?

We did last year. It is worth a visit and it is surrounded by some very scenic country with wonderful roads to drive.

yep, the drive from Nice is nice. Very windy haute provence roads that can take the breath away. Avoid mid afternoon traffic, those tradies like long lunches... narrow roads, bats out of hell... I saw a painter standing in the woods, kinda scratching his head covered in paint looking at his van on its side. The inside of the van was coated in fresh white paint all over the windows. He looked ok so I kept going. Figured others better suited to dealing with his issues were on their way. Ps don't say Renault R4 to M.Fradet unless you like verbal fireworks!

Ditto to that. We visited a few years back. I had it on my list of places to visit but had forgotten where it was. We just happened to be driving from Nice towards Lake Annecy and were very pleased to find their signs on the Route Napoleon just past Castellane. I was impressed by the special dash for the second nose Ds on sale for the price of Euros 1,000.

Did it in 2010 - before the extensions.

It was well worth it and Castellane is beautiful and worth a stay for a couple of days.

Please be aware if you plan to visit Castellane and the museum, it is not open all year. Check their website
