    Default Is google listening?.

Iím starting the think google can hear what is said when we are within range.
I sometimes mention deafness (and other things ) but have never done any research on it, but Iím wondering if click bait is from google overhearing conversations.
Iím losing faith in all this invasive tech we seem to be wedded to.
    I never used voice command.

Not very Citroen, but many things including malware can eavesdrop on a computer with an open microphone, so turn it off.

On a smartphone things get harder. Google Assistant can hear your little chats and record them. You can also log into Google and play your stuff back. Apple is less open.

Our TomTom goes to voice activation mid trip regularly without our permission.

Is it that the difference between tech and marriage is that one has both an “Opt Out” feature and an “Off” button, and the other does not? Mostly.

Our Google Home Mini is always listening. That is its job! When we were given it, I was doubtful we would use it. However, its convenience, ease of use and being located where we spend most of our time means it gets used quite often for voice activated google queries, reminders, playing music etc. SWMBO engages in light banter with it. I am sure Google would find our discussions quite boring!

As an aside but also involved, AFAIK, Iím p****d that my S8+ is loaded with so much junk that I donít need or want and it seems you canít get rid of it without some interconnected issue having other unfortunate consequences.
Why canít you have the option of loading exactly what you want instead of this setup?.
