Default C4 Picasso fuel gauge behaviour

    Strange things going on.
After filling up it showed full and started coming down and after around 200 kms it was showing 7/8ths full. After lunch, with the car still warm, a trip to the local shops and I go out to bring the car back into the garage and the gauge now shows full and the remaining Ďrangeí has gone up from 980 to 1040.
Iíve always had my suspicions about itís consistent accuracy but this is really odd.
    Any ideas what is wrong?.

    No, dead flat.
The last time I filled it seemed greater than I expected, but the time before was less than expected.
    Three clicks each time.

You will need to look at the displayed and raw fuel data in the bsi you can also do a forced reset of the fuel gauge this should sort it out.

It wasnít the same pump location, so Iím wondering itís particularly susceptible to levels. Either way I donít know how it seemingly discovers new supplies after 200+kms.

Yeah but depending on the fuel consumption evened out over the last 50 or so ks can make the distance to empty increase

Yeah, but the gauge going back to full is a first for me over the 35k weíve done in the last 2+ years.
