    Default Help needed

    Hi Guys

Just a call out to see if someone has a spare 7 piston pump. I am at the moment located at Ceduna by force (by failure of said pump).

    Cheers

Certainly not the best place to break down.
In what way has it failed? Are you certain it's not sucking air through a split in the hose?
Near Adelaide is probably your best bet. Failing any local private offers, you could try Martin Bray or Roger Parker?
I do have a spare old pump, but condition isn't certain and it's far from local.

Thanks for your reply David S.

We were 80ks away from Ceduna when I noticed a decent amount of smoke coming from the rear of the car. Pulled over in a safe area and found LHM departing from the pump body all over the brake disc and pad when stationary, when underway, obviously all over the exhaust hence the smokescreen.

I have rung around a bit and as you say, “certainly not the best place to break down”. But such is life. However, Jason is looking after things for me and this has put my mind at ease.

Looking forward to being back on the road again.

Having driven through Ceduna quite a few times, I can at least vouch for the hotel near the beach and the fish and chips...

I've passed the link to this post to a couple of the Perth people in case they can help. Good luck.

    Cheers

We have one on the way. With some luck it is being express posted at this very moment. Our luck should be starting to turn around now surely!

    It’s lunch time now too..........

    Hi Brian,

Ceduna and Citroens is not mixing well this year. If you look around hard you might see a GSA languishing in a mechanics that is about to head back to Melbourne. I hope you get the new pump installed quickly so you can make it to Cit-in with your Trophy from last year.

Teddies Terrific Tour has now finished in Perth and we will be heading down to Katanning on Friday.

    Cheers, Ken

Pump has not arrived today. I have my fingers and everything else crossed for tomorrow. Can’t wait to see what the delivery gods do.

Well, much better now. We are at Esperance after the pump arriving yesterday. So good to be on the road again.
