    Default DS3 service light

Hi. I had the service light come on with my ds3. the aircon stopped working at the same time. Initially thought it was due to the harmonic balancer, which has been replaced. fuses are all good, aircon has gas and the compressor is activating. No codes are coming up through the OBD port.
    Any ideas?

It's a conventional AC system, so your local place should be able to diagnose it. If the service light is on, an OBD code should have been registered. Does the inside fan run on heating, or on unconditioned ventilation?

    According to the owner's manual:
F21 5A Fan assembly control supply, ABS/ESP, turbo pump (THP).
    Under-bonnet fuses.

The pump is hard to spot in the tight compartment of a DS3. It looks like this:

    Hi
Maybee you have the answers from some AF experts.

But just a comment on the service light again. If the service light is on there is a code(s) to say why it is on and probably more information too. If you cannot read any it is because you have not got a correct code reader. The port is not OBD2 but EOBD and simple readers may not give correct answers or no answers. Sorry but do not believe all you read from sellers on ebay.

I would have never have thought of the water pump as it is running cooler than normal.

Jaahn - not using an eBay reader, the auto electricians machine couldn't find a code either. unfortunately nobody within 400kms with a specific reader

Re the water pump - David is saying the turbo water pump. This is quite separate to the water pump that circulates the coolant and keeps your engine cool. Pretty sure that the main water pump is not visible, and is driven by a belt, so has no electrical components whatsoever, whereas the turbo water pump is a small pump driven by an electric motor.

    Cheers
