I have attempted to contact through "Australian Story" the makers of yesterday's show through Twitter.

If it was me who owned a car in the 70's with such a history, I would be bloody glad if someone contacted me to let me know it is available again, and in good nick!!!!

    Ouch

Wonder if there's any more leftover lollypop tunes stuck in the glovebox.

mmm Am I missing something here? Its a 71 model, ad mentions the '2175cc fuel-injected four-cylinder engine'? The photos show an injection manifold? I thought injection happened later and only on 2300cc motors.
And it seems to have air con grills in the front valance but no air outlets in the car?
The right hand head lamp looks a bit of a crazy angle too.

Citroen introduced the electronic injection on the DS21 late in 1969, and introduced the 23 injection in 1972.IMG_20190411_102736-2.jpg

Thanks for that info. What do you think about the air con interior vents? were they ever channeled thru the standard dash vents?

Intakes in the valance, definitely a bodgey job, never was standard. Not sure about dash outlets in the factory aircon....maybe.

The factory air did use the dash vents but eliminated the driver side blower. There's no evidence of a compressor on this car. Possibly the under guard panels were replaced because of damage during the restoration ?

Two in one thread David. Well done! Thanks for posting - one super nostalgic car, as was the ABC program. Hard to believe they were together for such a short time. Her jazz singing was wonderful - we saw her front Turk Murphy and his San Francisco jazz band in Adelaide many years ago. Sigh.

Used to see her fronting Frank Traynor's jazz band at the Memphis jazz club in Malvern. What a voice! Oh to be 16 again!

I can manage without 16 but more JD would be good, no wonderful. There are two Hot Jazz Duo recordings out there on CD.
Hopefully someone will tell her the DS is for sale, although she might have moved on....

You Citroen DS owners are "in a world of your own". However "some day one day" I hope to join the clan if my wife's allowances take a "turn, turn, turn". Then I'll be able to go"rockin', rollin',rid'n out along the Bay, all bound for Mornington many miles away".
