    Default DS23 Weber Carb

All jokes aside. Does anyone have a tip for loosening and removing the front driver side intake manifold nut off the base of the Weber carb. Everything seems to be in the way.

Hello, starting with the simple, have you taken the rocker/valve cover off? Some have bent the end of a suitable spanner to 90 degrees, a bit like a crowsfoot spanner.

Everything is always in the way! Just keep taking bits off until you can reach it. Or employ a four year old kid who has a vice like grip. Just wait till you have to remove the starter motor.

I bent a spanner and got it loose. I cleaned the carb by pulling out jets and retainers one at a time.

I havenít cleaned such a complicated carb before but I think I managed ok. The base is very warped though so I applied a good deal of gasket goo to the gasket in the hope of plugging it. I took a picture...
