Default CX door trims - fibreglass

I been given a left hand front fibreglass door trim mould. Not sure if it was to replace one or as a mould to make others? Obviously someone went to a lot of trouble. Any other moulds out there?
    Cheers,
    Adrian

OMG! Where did you get it? People have been after those for years. There must be three others.

Is it the skin facing the cabin or the skin that fits against the door frame? Assuming that you need an inner to combine with an outer to get a proper fit!

Someone was making them in fibreglass back in the 1990's or early 2000's from memory. I recall them being mentioned, but never saw one. If it looks the same shape as a door trim, it's a panel made from a mould rather than the mould.

The moulds are in my possession but I've not been able to find anyone to actually make any panels from them.

Several people have expressed an interest in making replacement panels but none of the offers have come to fruition.

If they are used to make panels they would require some additional work to address the reverse side (the one attaching to the door frame) as it needs to have the surface to match the mounting points. As far a s I know that reverse side panel doesn't exist.

Itís the skin facing the cabin. My new iPhone takes too large a photo to upload. It would need some dense foam behind it to attach to door & holes made for lock etc.

Youíre very lucky to have those; too far away from me to give it a go. I have one CX with lots of cracks yet not warped so a good base to create an inner mould. I have another spare set that is warped with cracks just along the tops. Regardless the issue on both is the inner felt against glass attachment. I feel the solution is cutting the door trims in half lengthwise and attaching top sections separately so they flatten out more effectively. When I work out how to post pictures again Iíll show the progress.

Now that you have an inner mould we are looking more like getting replacements made. That is one door. Are you able to get moulds for all doors?
If I can get a set of inners made and sent to me I'll have the face skins done. Then once joined it will be on to get them 'skinned' with a vinyl covering.
Can you give me any idea of the cost of having the four doors done please?

Itís actually an optical illusion as it isnít a mould yet an actual door card made out of fibreglass. Iím in the process of making the trims myself as the cost would be prohibitive

If you want the face skins made let me know and I'll see what I can do?

We would definitely be keen on getting a few sets of door trim too.
