Default Don't do this with your C5

    Read on a French forum:

After minor repairs to his C5 this is what happened to a member of a C5 forum, the car was up on a hydraulic lift with wheels hanging free, once done, he hopped into the car and started the engine to check everything was ok, then got out to look at the engine bay. Bad luck! After a short while the car locked itself with the engine running and wheels turning plus his only set of keys inside.
It was running for a while, until he was apparently able to disconnect one of the calculators because he knew where to look But to this day the car is still locked with the keys in it.

Reminder to self: leave driver's window open when working on car!

You can do that with a DS3 also, and unlike the C5 it has a factory fitted alarm. How do I know?

(The computer is fooled that the car has moved off, and locks all doors).

Best one I had was a new 407 one of the trade assistants was cleaning under the bonnet both keys on tag sitting on the radiator top panel bonnet slammed shut and locked the doors luckily enough being a dealer it was just up to locksmith with the code and a blank blade .

Ah yes! That must be one of the very few ways you can lock your keys inside a modern Citroen or Peugeot.

You surely wouldn't want doors locked, engine running, and wheels turning on that one!

DS will nose dive off the hoist if you put the hoist arms under the side jack points behind the front wheels, but not util it's in the air and you pull a rear wheel off...
