    for the bravehearted.......https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-C...-/252304347660

seems to be missing the mounting brackets though

I have also heard of people fitting garret T2 superchargers. Dealing with the extra underbonnet heat could be a challenge to the whole operation though.

That rebuild was done about 5 miles from where I live! Doesn't make it any the more affordable though.......

That old supercharger... It is just a period accesory from what i can tell. Something driven by a single loose'ish 'V' belt isn't going to draw enough power .... to create much boost (look at the massive belts used by the hotrodders to drive there big superchargers .... and even they cause slipping issues).

The best conversion I've ever seen is that blue DS there is pictures of somewhere. It has a CX2500 GTi Turbo engine fitted. The CX radiator and fan units are laying down across the nose where the spare wheel usually lives. Instantly you will have done away with most of the hardest bits. The cooling system is now large ... You could effortlessly tow your caravan with it if desired. The CX motor shoud just mount up as the block is pretty much the same. All you would need to do is figure out how to make the damn thing backwards.

Future DS Project- Engine Swap? Diesel? Electric?

have a read here though. You can buy drive reverses by the sounds of it.

Fit a DS camshaft! It will run in the DS direction ie clockwise viewed from the water-pump end.

The oil pump will turn backwards The starter will spin backwards, and the flywheel sensors will need to be moved ... as ... as would possibly the pickup tooth on the flywheel.

I wonder what else would be an issue
