Default Xantia parts bin engineering - theoretical musing...

Will an ML5T gearbox from a Series I (Turbo CT) fit a Series II V6? The part numbers are different (2222 E7 vs 2222 E6), but are there external differences or only internal changes?

Which clutch would you use (presumably the newer one - esp. as they are still available )?

    Cheers

Different bellhousing and bolt pattern for the block I'd expect. You could probably follow the Dellow adapter route, but make you life easier and find a 406 manual as a donor.

Thanks David - that makes sense. I've now realised that the gearbox part number is linked to the engine it bolts to, not the series of the car.

    Cheers
