    Default Headlight wiring problems.

My ute has obviously been changed. The light switch connections were wrong. But when I connect to high beam, one comes on as H. beam but the other side on low beam. When I switch to low beam the same light stays on H. beam and the other side stays on low beam.
Does that make sense? Both sides stay on the beam they are when switching.

I don't know how old your Truckette is, go ahead and try Seasink's diagram. Make absolutely sure the ground at the headlight bar is connected. Also. be aware the headlight connectors are wired in the correct order- that is, considering how old your car really is, look at the headlight connectors from the back (non-plug) side. You'll have 2 parallel terminals and one perpendicular at bottom. The bottom one is your low (green marker) beam. The one on the right is your high (yellow marker) beam. The terminal to the left is your ground (brown marker). Ensure these are the same on both sides of the car. There may be a 4th wire into the headlight pod, that will be your parking lamp. IIRC, it's marked in red. Any ground that comes off the park lamp is marked in brown, and connects to the main ground at the headlight bar.

The measure of your character isn't what you do when people are watching- it's what you do when they aren't watching.
