    Default Diagnostic port Citroen C5

At what point was ODB 2 introduced to C5s in Australia. I have a 2004 HDI 2.0 with socket installed. But, is ODB 2 or its Euro equivalent present? VIN No VF7DCRHZE76521304. The Information I have so far gleaned has told me sweet nothing.

The EOBD (European on board diagnostics) regulations are the equivalent of OBD-II, and apply to category M1 (no more than 8 passenger seats and GVM <= 2500 kg) cars registered within EU member states since January 1, 2001 for petrol engined cars and since January 1, 2004 for diesel engined cars.

L_1998350EN.01000101.xml has the directive. Check the build date. If you plug in a cheap code reader or a mechanic's you'll have the answer.

Thanks for your reply. More sense in it than the piles of rubbish that I have been wading through. It tied in with my thoughts on the subject.
