Default AC 088 LE Colour badge DS

    Hello everyone,
It seems I've misplaced the correct colour disk plate for my 71 DS21 BVH resto and I'm looking for a replacement. (I've looked everywhere).
Does anyone have one at all...? I'm hoping someone has a Blanc Meije wreck with a spare plate.
It's the alloy disk on the upper RHS of the firewall rivetted in place.
    From memory it reads;

    AC
    088
    LE

    Many thanks in advance,
    Mark...

Perhaps a new metal disc to be made and stamped?
    Cheers Gerry

Surely your local cups 'n trophies shop will make you one if you show him this:

It's 26 mm. in diameter, 1 mm thick.
    More info here (in Italian).

On the Nuanciers Citroen DS site Blanc Meige is given as AC 088
    What does the LE signify?

From the same link it says the letters signify the paint manufacturer. . .

Two additional letters (here LE) indicate the paint supplier of the era:
    LE: LEFRANC
    CO: CORONA
    DU: DUCO
    ME: MERVILLE
    AS: ASTRAL

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

It also transpires that the first number of the set of 3 number indicates the tone of the colour:
    ie:

    0 blanc/beige
    1 blanc/gris
    2 noir
    3 jaune
    4 rouge/marron
    5 vert
    6 bleu

EXCEPT in some where the first number is sometimes missing such as in AC 88

Same page, but in Fwench : La Pastille

Now, one colour comes to mind! I'll go and check it.

There's this as well. Relates to cars circa 66/67 - so not hugely relevant to your search i'm afraid, just background info. Tells you what kind of paint was used where and the addresses of the original suppliers.
