    Default Carnets

Has the very useful official Carnets de Poche site been scrapped? It is currently unavailable.

It has changed over the last week, I delete everything after service.citroen.com in the address bar which gets you to a Peugeot model page, from there to 'home' top right, and then use the drop down menu for Citroen - may need to change bookmark to streamline?

    Cheers

I happened to use service.citroen.com last night no problems.
Tried it twice using usual set-up after reading your post and it said session expired.
Just retried using usual service.citroen.com and usual UN and PW and it works fine.
    Good luck

If I use my original bookmark I get this. . .

As above the work around is to edit the url - I have now changed the bookmark to service.citroen/docprAC/ and all is well.

    Cheers

Does someone have a working address that isn't behind a password page? It is starting to look like it's on an AFP secret block list.

Some of my contacts have no password. Have they dropped the open site?

They may have? I've just had a play in a different browser and it appears without registration there is no way to navigate further

My service.citroen bookmark works but the opening page has now changed to a Peugeot, Citroen, DS Autos page, although everything else seems the same.

A working link would be appreciated, and be sure your browser isn't doing an auto log in.

I know about service box. But that requires one to log in. The carnets were publicly downloadable WITHOUT a log in or password using any download system. That facility appears to have vanished.

The document owners have possibly had the site closed.

Toyota had a a Russian site closed a few years ago- it was hosting an online version of their full European dealer spare parts and service information.

You should have got in while whilst the "picking" was good.

The official Citroen site once had open access files.

There was a useful Russian site that had copied all Citroen parts diagrams and details in their English versions as well as Russian. It is no more, possibly it upset PSA's anal retentives, but I did download much of it.

    It is no more
PSA probably expect to paid for their work in preparing the documentation. Nothing is free these days .

You wouldn't expect a paper manual to given to you for free.

So why would expect the pdf to free and a legal download simultaneously ?

Commercial operations don't have an "open source" mentality. They expect to defray expenses.

EDIT: Personally, I'm happy to pay a few dollars, to have VIN customized , documentation readily and conveniently available for my vehicle at any time of the night or day.
