Default Advice wanted concerning my 2001 Citroen C5 diesel 2 ltr

Engine stalls, even at 110kph and Anti pollution fault and service light indicates. It is also hard to start but will start again a few minutes later. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

When was the fuel filter last changed?

    "Déesse" Roland Barthes, 'Mythologies', 1957

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

110 kph = motorway. Is this a regeneration failing? (Both lights lit). How far had you travelled at speed?

Is the cold start at Bowenfels a frosty winter or a summer thing?

Agree re filter, but also consider it may be down to a vacuum leak, split turbo hose or the fuel pump not working properly. The pump is in the tank and will eventually fail, but it is also quite likely the supply for it in the engine relay/fusebox has a burnt pin. See:

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Have checked all these suggestions. I will get it computer analysed and hopefully I will get a satisfactory result. The car is a bit long in the tooth but looks almost brand new but now worth very little. Not quite ready to retire it yet.

We had one with huge "melted fuse box/relay" issues that caused failure to start.
Eventually replaced the unit, but a LOT of dead ends prior.
    Once upon a time:

    Many R4s (incl. fourgonnette), R5LS, R16TS.

GS 1015, 1220, sedans and wagons.
    CX 2200, 2400.
    ID 1966, 1969, DS21H, DSpecial, DS23 Pallas.
    C5 2002, 2004 petrol and diesel.
    D Special 1974
Xantia Activa 1998 (look out Gulargambone)
GS 5 speed sedan (what a tale)
    1986 2CV6
    CX25GTi 1985 auto
    CX2500 IE Pallas 1985 auto
    DS23EFI 1975 Pallas

    And now:

    C5 2.2 HDI 2005 wagon
    DS23 1973 Pallas
