    Default Regan Motors selling Citroens?

Saw a "just off the boat" Cactus in their yard in Balwyn. does this mean Peugeot dealers will also sell Citroens?

PJ Regan back in business with Citroen !!! Wow how the wheels does turn! I purchased my 65 DS19 M Pallas from them in 1970. I wish I still had it now. Is anything happening on that front Tim?

Regan Motors, Balwyn and Hawthorn, are on Inchcape's new Citroen dealer list.

"Advertising", now there's a good idea. Just look at what Audi has achieved with a long-term, factory-supported program.

Hopefully the workshop might get a freshening up,the sign out side is from the 80's,faded and buggered, shrubs growing through walls.

That might happen if you dig up John.
The son's are too focussed on making money to have time for niceties.

John Regan was alive then and so was dedication to selling and servicing the Peugeot marque.
Regan's kept quite a few auto parts reconditioners in business at the same time.

BGT clutch and brake, around the corner in Burwood Rd, and an auto radiator shop in High St Armadale to name two.

Regan's also "trained" staff. Ian Amsing and Reno Dozzi, who left Regans and started up in Collingwood.

Richie Hillier and Derek Smith , who started up in Dandenong and serviced my Mums Virage.
EDIT: Richie and Derek were ex Monaco Motors - Bill Lord Milne. My memories are beginning to merge together

The sons who now run the Regans business have no such commitment, from what I've seen.

EDIT #2 I still have fond memories of Ernie (putt putt) in Regan's spare parts in Auburn Rd opposite the workshop.

Pretty well describes the "generic" auto salesperson.

At the least, the salespersons who successfully sell cars. And are not there to solely bolster their ego.

I've walked away from a few dealers with sales staff like this.

If they have the QA under control, service should be a few routine things and no trouble. It's a proven package underneath I'd have thought. Hope you really enjoy it. I'm sure I saw one last year...…..

In Launceston, Tasmania Buckby Motors now sell Peugeot, Citroen and Renault, so it seems anything is possible!

your post 11 robmac brings back good memories of mid to late 70,s working at regans auburn rd with reno dozzi and the late ian amsing.both gentlemen of the industry.i had worked with ian amsing at Renault Australia in punt rd Richmond where he was service manager.also at punt rd was reno,s brother enzo with bruce shepherd in rally dept on top floor and enzo,s son john had started his apprenticeship there in about 1975.both ian and reno apparently were continental and general in west Heidelberg factory before Renault took over.times in my past which at the time maybe not taking in significance of them... jim

As did Eurocars in Perth for many years, and very successfully. What you actually need is publicity and advertising, rather light on for PSA in recent years.

John Regan is still alive and cares about the business. Chris in the workshop and the others have been great with both our cars, Peugeot and Citroen. When I first got my C5 I couldn't believe the poor service and Chris agreed to change the oil and put Total in to the right specification. Glenn sold me a 505 in 1990 and remembered me in 2009 when he sold us the 407. I am very pleased to learn that they will carry Citroens.

My new 1967 round headlight Renault 10 was purchased from PJ Regan, Balwyn. They should have stuck with Renault and become famous......
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
