Default Citroen mechanic Central West NSW?

Bonjour, does anyone know of a mechanic with experience in Citroens in Central West NSW? My father, who lives in Orange, has a diesel C5. Merci en avance.

They aren't thick on the ground. Do you know what work is needed? The engines are also seen in other makes.

    Hi,
West Orange Motors had a PSA factory trained mechanic working there earlier this year. I have never had my cars serviced by them but was considering it as my wife drives the 2004 C5 to Orange from Bathurst each week day. Have not heard good reports on their service department though (the department not the mechanics) - friends in Orange driving Mercedes will no longer have there cars serviced there due to price and restricted communication.
Depending on the work, I get my local Repco Service agent (the one on Sydney road) here in Bathurst to do general maintenance. Matt Windsor is an excellent mechanic and his communication is top rate.

Merci vous deux for your replies. Yes out here in the Central West, la voiture Citroen is a rare breed unfortunately. I thought it was worth asking though, on this forum. I did the google thing and realised quite quickly, non. I was hoping for a miracle. The closest seems to be Canberra?

The Peugeot 508 is a modified C5 X7 model (mainly a bodywork change), so the Pug blokes should know about most of it except the hydraulic suspension.

The RHR and RHH 2.0 HDI diesel engines are in several 307 and 308 Peugeot models as well.

Tell your dad to give Craig Harvey a call. I have taken anything I didn't want to do myself to Craig for years and he is great. He can help point the way to someone in town that may know more detailed knowledge on Citroen if there is someone!

Pretty much why I don't take the Subaru there nor any I have owned for the last 17 years living here.

Most of us understand that. What is the fault, as it may not need any special Citroen experience. What year and engine type is the car? (There are 3 C5 versions up to 2016, and several diesel engines are fitted to them, in both 4 and 6 cylinder variants).

He does have several non-Citroen mechanics he goes to, but would prefer an expert naturally. The local Peugeot dealership is not here anymore he said. He would go there for the more specialist work otherwise. He has a 2009 2 litre? C5. It needs a new timing-belt, no-one has the special tools. Might have to go to either Canberra or Sydney I think, as it's overdue at 148,000 kms.

The 2009 X7 models had the 2.0 HDI version coded as RHH or DW10B by Citroen. The engine was developed in France under a joint deal with Ford.

It is used in Ford Mondeos and also some Volvos, also Peugeot 407 and 508, so some other places will have the timing tools and experience

If you can get to Sydney a place like Colliers at Granville Collier's Automotive Services > Home can do the job. So can Revivemylion, who is a mobile mechanic http://www.revivemylion.com/ who might suit if you stay with someone.

Merci for your help, yes I think he will have to go to Sydney. He said it was a 2.2. Not sure if that makes a difference.
