    Default Balancing D wheels

I'm restoring a 74 D Special. I've just finished painting the wheels and need to balance them. Anyone know of any in Adelaide able to do this job?

Well that was a fizzer Tadpole. When I arrived the manager said he couldn't do it and then proceed to fix four studs onto to the machine and static balance all five wheel. Thinking about it after I had forked out $125 I reckon that having just four posts instead of five meant the wheels were automatically pit of balance and the lead weighting attached must be wrong. I'll have to wait until I drive the car which won't be till after Christmas when my son comes over and we get the restored beauty on the road after a 12 month restoration.

Go to Bob Jane Tyres Prospect. No problems.

Wow, sorry then mate. The bloody peanut shoulda been able to do it without a problem, I know the machine is capable. It's been a couple of years since I worked there but I'm pretty certain they have a 5 stud adapter that would mount the D wheels.

If only Kevin Kenny on Waymouth st was still around.
