Here's the full details on that car; it's owned by a guy called Chris White who hails from Heathrow in the UK and whose spent a heap on the car. He tends to be a perfectionist and had dyno print outs in the order of around 180BHP.
It's an interesting car and he was recently talking about either selling or disembowelling it for a 205 conversion
A price of around 1200 UK pounds was mentioned as being its value over there which is bloody criminal when you see what's been spent on it, however I understand he's had a change of heart that came about after the rest of the 16V community made noises like they might lynch him if he ripped it to bits!!

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

I'm inclined to beleive with that list of mods that it makes 180bhp too!!! That engine alone would surely be worth 1200 pounds!

It's a somewhat unusual model by our standards.
It is a series two without cat (which was an option in those days in the UK) and from what I remember he just accidentally stumbled across it for sale by a woman who was either the first or second owner & had driven the car fairly sedately and had it regularly serviced. Chris had a BX14 Meteor I think it was that he'd owned for a while & was also an immculate car also from all accounts and although he held ambitions of owning a 16V "one day" he wasn't actually searching for one when this one popped up.
The car is unusual in its use & cosmetic work, mainly due to the fact that in Pommyland anything over about 5 years old is referred to as a "banger" and BXs haven't been flavour of the month for years so when he arrives at these ricey show & shines with a daily driver/showcar he cops a bit of flack and I reckon creates a lot of jealousy amongst the ones who consider a new car well polished as being the ultimate show car. They want the looks but not the work so Chris's car is very unique & has been well judged at a few of these car shows. The fact that it goes like the clappers ads a new dimension to it.
If it was feasible to Import it out here & he decided to sell it, I'd be on the front row of buyers.
