    Default Road Trip

    Hello everyone
Just a quick note to say that we used our C5 X7 as it was intended and covered 3,400km in a loop from Brisbane, Dubbo, Orange, Canberra, Batemans Bay, Sydney, Forster Coffs Harbour and back home.

We were loaded up to cover all climatic conditions from snow to beach and I think 1/6th of the boot space was taken up in shoes!

Absolute pleasure to ride in and where ever possible we used secondary roads to travel on. On this journey the indicated ambient varied from -4 degrees C to 39 degrees C. The average fuel consumption was an amazing 6.3 litres/100km.

We didn't spot that many Citroen in our travels - a dark grey C6 between Cowra and Boorowa, passed a red C3 between Bungendore and Braidwood, followed a maroon C5 X7 out of the Forster Bakery, a white 1st gen and maroon 2nd gen C5 in Coffs and a pearlescent C5 X7 from Logan onto the Gateway.

If you haven't been on a road trip lately, get out and enjoy yourself. A few of our highlights were the Aboriginal sharpening groves/grinding area at Dubbo, snow, Canberra wines, watching whales close to shore at Kiama, beaches and lakes at Forster and spending time with the family without the distraction of mobile phones!

    Cheers
    Jason

Are you saying that the Satnav stuffed up and your original trip across Brisbane took you across a couple of states?

That's part of an old joke, Col! An elderly western Queensland farmer living in Augathella was about to leave on his first ever holiday to the Gold Coast, which he announced in the local pub. The publican enquired, "what route will you take?" The farmer replied "I might take the missus, she's been pretty good of late...."

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
