    Default 2cv Bumper Bar

My rear bumper bar got bent by a runaway parker the other day . The panel beaters say they can't straighten it as it "boings" (technical-speak) in another direction when heated and hammered etc . They reckon it acts like spring steel. Are they spring steel ? Any advice on ways to strighten? Any secondhand ones around?
Thanks in anticipation of some expert advice.
    Yours grovellingly

Chuck the useless bloody rusting things to the tip & get yourself some tubular bars as fitted to the raid cars.

Buttercup Bob is going to make me up a set .... Eventually, it might be worth dropping him a line to see if he can make you up some as well.

there should be some secondhand parts around, and they will be available in UK new.

Geoffrey Howatson at ChevronDownUnder in Perth imports bits from the UK, and has some in stock. Unfortunately he is in perth, his number is 08 93 71 00 92.
