    Default Dyane idle jet screw.

    Hi guys,

Picked up my 'new' car yesterday, a 1979 Dyane in beige Nevada. Picked it up from Ceva car carrying, in Leightonfield, yesterday and drove it back, with 3 men on board, to my home in Lithgow. My first experience of the 2cv family......I'm sold, loved it.

Now to the problem, a common one I understand, my idle jet screw fell out somewhere between Mt Victoria and Lithgow so now the car won't idle. Got it home and have checked every little nook and cranny but, t no avail, the screw has taken French leave. Would anyone have a spare that would get me out of trouble. I'm coming to Eastern Creek tomorrow.

    Paul

Sorry, I forgot to add that. It's a 26/18 twin choke.

    cset,
From here it looks similar to Renault 750/4. Solex. The screw that is. The Ren are single corps].

    Paul,
you need one of these, thread size is M8 x 1, jet size 'about' 40.

The same item is used on Solex single choke carburettors, so shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Ken, thanks for that. A replacement is already on order from Burtons in the Netherlands. I also have a secondhand one coming down from the seller (of the car) in FNQ.
