I've been on Young roads, but Dungog's take the wooden spoon. For what it's worth I have driven over those goat tracks in a C4 B7, which has soft springing, and it wasn't too bad. The later C4 is a nice drive.

I haven't driven up that way with anything "modern". I thoroughly enjoyed driving around Stroud, Scone and everywhere in between in my 404 and my 16TS. I don't think that I've taken any of my other cars in that particular area. We might have to agree to disagree.

A biker in another forum described Stroud Hill Road as “shite patch on old patch bitumen and it's like having a jackhammer on your tailbone”. Fortunately, hydraulic suspension eliminates the jackhammer effect. Dungog Council has applied for a 79% increase in rates over 5 years to fix the roads. At the other end, the Federal Government is contributing $5m towards fixing some of the Bucketts Way. State Govt spends on stadiums instead

Nambour has a good Citroen/Peugeot dealership which has been our only support on the Sunny Coast....otherwise a drive to Brisvegas.
It will probably be well maintained so worth a look.
