Default Parker Bulb - contains traces of unobtainium?

Parker Bulb - contains traces of unobtainium?-img_2643.jpg

just before i start looking and asking around I thought someone here may be able to tell me what (specification, number, etc.) is required to replace this with one that works, like the other one.
    or something.
thanks in advance - sorry to be trivial and/or lazy.

Is it round or flat? Flat w5w are available a couple of $ in any auto supply place. PSX24W are in the foglights usually - same sort of places, but more trade oriented, but dearer. There's always eBay.

Pull the globe out and have a look at what is stamped on it, also you could look in the owners manual.

    Hi Guys

Its a BA9AS halogen bulb, a bit hard to come by. It has offset pins. I replaced them with a LED, but you need to get a pretty bright one is if the wattage is too low, it will come up with a dash warning. I found most of the claims on Leds that they are Can Bus for no faults is just some lettering on the globe.

The blow fairly often because they are halogen.

    Best regards,

    Greg

    Hi Steven,
These look like they would be correct? At $3.96 a pair worth a punt. . .

    Hi Guys,

Yes that's correct, and that price is pretty good, I've ben quoted much higher.

And Chris's code is right as well, the X being asymmetrical.

    Best regards,

    Greg

Parker Bulb - contains traces of unobtainium?-img_3110-2.jpg
as a user of the handbook that came with the car i proffer an Erratum - if anyone has the same model as i the above instruction results (with difficulty) in ripping out not the offending bulb, just the motor which allows remote level adjustment; rather one should go in through the high-beam access.
    Then you get (easily) to
Parker Bulb - contains traces of unobtainium?-img_3104.jpgParker Bulb - contains traces of unobtainium?-img_3105.jpg
which would cost $50, if the dealer had one ...
Ashdown Ingram do have a H21, however it's not only clear but useless because the offset pins are on the same plane, not staggered like a HY21, ie the amber, like you need ... i note from googling some C5s might have the same bulb, so wonder if the panel know a source.
and if this thread is not the best place to share this educational experience, please advise.
now to fix my car's Strabismus ...

Ah I see you are getting used to all the tricky halogen bulbs the newer Citroen models have like out C5X7 - amber halogen indicator bulbs at the front and halogen reversing lights at the back. I think ebay is goping to be our best friend.

    Cheers, Ken

sounds a bit tarzan ,but provided the wattage is the same ,the pin situation can be rectified with a file or dremel ,just grind off the offending pin ,pugs

eBay proved an expensive lesson - a friend with some experience and a PayPal account took on my problem however what has arrived is not a light bulb at all. Due to another thread here I have instead spoken to someone who had them to hand and has - I don’t know how or why - given me a good price on one, so I expect it in my PO Box very very soon. Thanks to Gaspar and Continental, long may they rule

    - and the car is faultless again. As per my last, I recommend Continental Cars Citroen Centre Parts for understanding, stocking, pricing and general service to a first time and remote customer and am
wishing I had found them earlier.
