    Default aluminium duct before radiator

    Hi all,

I have removed the aluminium duct before the radiator to replace the vinyl chute.

I'm pretty sure mine needs a bit of subtle pannel beating.

Does anyone have a pic from the inlet of this duct looking down to the radiator - interested in the cross section mine is an oval with one side squashed in a bit.

It will go back into shape easy enough I just want to know what is the right shape.

    Thanks
    Alex

Hello, on mine, top and sides were flat but the underside has a dent in it. The others I've seen are much the same. I expect it is to miss the gearbox.

Yes. That's exactly what it's for. These ones are to accommodate the longer 5 speed box. The one in Badabec's photo also doesn't have the holes that the the starting handle passes through - for exactly the same reason.
