    Default DS vanity mirror

Hello, anyone had a go at removing the vanity mirror from the passenger's sun visor?

didn't know they had one! owning a lowly spec Special. Maybe prise it up a bit with something flattish and start squirting some acetone in there? Someone will correct me of course and say this is bad suggestion! But 49 people have looked at your post and not offered any suggestions! I'm assuming of course they are stuck on!!

    This should do it
I'm puzzled as to why you would want to do that though.

Love it. And it's not made in China.

Hello, I may have to resort to Thor. The silvering has started to come off and it just looks manky. Or maybe it's just my face!
The mirror is sandwiched between the two layers of the visor. The luxury of a DSuper5

if it were me I would have a new one cut 3mm if possible and glue over the top with contact adhesive. If you bevel the edges it will look better than the original

Hello, no need for Thor. The mirror sits in a flexible plastic channel on all four sides. Once you've pushed the channel away from the mirror it pops out (apart from the small bit of double sided tape that you have to peel off). Now to find a new mirror

    G'day,

If it's just a straight mirror glass 2 or 3mm thick and not chamfered I'm happy to cut and shape one free of charge, just for fun.

That's good to know. My visors are packed away in boxes but i expect it will be the same for Pallas visors

The "sun" visors help us northern hemisphere folk see less of the rain when they are pulled down.....

Sadly for much of the year the sun will not rise much above the horizon.
