I don't get it. That was the end of the article.

    .... anyway.
Will be interesting to see the car surface again. Who knows, once the car has been recommissioned, it may come on the market. Hopefully it has gone to sympathetic owner with the resources the car deserves. But you never know, someone may just do the bare essentials and get her back on the road.

Bought the magazine, and it is a good buy!

Jon's sad story of the Durham DS21 is there - and so much more! ACs, and Coopers, and Triumphs, and Lancias - and of course Fords, and Chevs and Pontiacs. Lots there to keep car nuts entertained.

    What a damn shame.
DS23 Pallas BVM Vert Argente - in ground up restoration, soon to be BVH.
DSpecial 4speed Beige Vanneau, previous ; XM 2.0, maroon, my first.
And a variety of the usual crapboxes before seeing the light. Except my Mini Cooper with the 3.4 cam and twin webers - that wasn't a POS.

Sensational article jonf. I also took a look at it and your conclusion about the DS was spot on. What I didn't realise was the history of this particular DS, and how it weaved into and out of your life.

That would have been one tough decision to walk away from it, but I am sure, it will come back.

    Regards, Syd

The DS has been bought by a local Citroen enthusiast and is being restored, a big job but so far not quite as bad as most people thought. An unpleasant surprise was the rust under the bootlid , but the bootlid itself and the floor are better than many i have seen.

I would be very interested to see any documentation about this car.

when you see what some of our European cousins get up to with salvaging Ds this could be a walk in the park.

    Or Australians with cabriolets!

Not an unreasonable comment either. If you don't support local businesses, they can't be there for you in the future.
