Default C5 '06 Stop Brake System Fault

Hi all. My first post. I have recently purchased the wagon and working towards getting it roadworthy.
The only real problem is the brake system fault that shows the STOP plus red brake symbols. Error codes C1383 brake fluid switch open circuit .. and C 1389 brake fluid level too low .. .there does not seem to be any brake performance problem. New pads and full fluids. Fluid level sensor has 48 oh resistance and 330mv across plug when dummy resistor sensor fitted, so that appears to be working. Should I current check?
Are there any other sensors or connection s that should be checked?
Mobile auto electric is coming to help soon.
The service interval display also says 4C3 Brake fluid level error detected. Consistent at least. Any further ideas???
    Thanks.

Hi My mate had that problem with a Peugeot he purchased of about that year. Had to do other things too but at the end that brake fault remained. He ran around with a resistor in the circuit for a while to put the light out till it was sorted. I forget what value it was.
He put another used resevoir with sensor and that fixed it. We tested the sensor first and it seemed Ok and was just two pins in the fluid but the computer did not like it?? My guess was that some combination of different fluids had left a coating on them ??

My instrument tech bro checked out the typical brake fluid sensors. They read 2.5ohms at low level and 2000 ohms when full. I fitted a 2k Oh resistor in to fluid reservoir plug and the STOP goes away. I can now replace the reservoir or sensor and it will make it through road worthy check. Thanks Jaahn for your help. 😄 John.
