Might be nice if the links went to something which is still there.

Here's the other one .... Interestingly it doesn't look rusty in the photos ... Even though the description says rusty ( maybe it's salt damage down really low out of sight).

good to see the white cx having good interest and reaching a reasonable price.
Well cared for cx's are getting hard to find and i think will become more sought after

Would the UK 5 speed gearbox / clutch assembly and pedal assembly (renewed) fit on the GTI as a replacement?

A GTi auto is nice and brisk with room for your left foot. Put a clutch pedal into the fray and it's a rather cramped experience. I had a manual CX once and I hated the lack of space in the footwell.

Should do, so long as they are both wide track cars (otherwise driveshaft length differs). you would also need the diravi splitter and selector rods.

I may be wrong but I thought the wide and narrow track CX can be identified by the wheel arch on the front guards. These two cars look to have different front guards.

The white GTi is the widetrack. I agree that a RHD CX has a terrible pedal placement. For a limo like a CX, automatic goes with the effortless operation. If those kilometres are accurate, that car has hardly been used. White is a good colour for a CX in Australia in that it is slightly cooler. The TRX tyres reflect the low kilometres but are probably too hard to be of any use (other than concours days).

I reckon on the red CX, they put the word "complete" in the wrong spot. It should have read CX ready for a complete restoration, from metal up (once the metal has been found).

The White Cx looked really good and the dealer would be pleased with $7473. felt sorry for the under bidder. Nice car by the looks and what its worth

That CX was finished on in the last second of auctioning "snipped at the post" for over $1000 above previous bid! Beautiful looking car though.
