Not quite sure, but isn't that the one that was found to be a hoax in the end?

You would really wonder why if you can do that, then why can you not fix the swing arm on the 2cv first, or anything else for that matter and get the car going......

I dunno. The concept of doing it with minimal tools ... in the desert... seems highly questionable, but the various posts suggest that "it happened" ... either way, it is a cool story. Or a very hot one.

The Mythbusters tried to confirm this and failed. Myth busted! They couldn't get the bike to be balanced, and was unrideable.

Nope, he was just pulling the wool.
The thing is, that only works when you're dealing with 'armchair mechanics'...

I don't know if Monster Garage ever made it to Australia but there was this episode where they stripped down a Peterbuilt truck and turned it into a trike using pretty much everything from the truck except for the radiator which was for a car or pickup truck.

They mated the engine and transmission directly to the rear axle and put the seat off to the side. JJ initially wanted to make a motorcycle but was prompted that the engine alone weigh over a thousand pounds and if it fell over on him would crush him so he agreed with the trike project.

I'm not much into trikes but this was probably my favorite episode. Too bad the host was a jerk. Because of his attitude, it seemed like he sabotaged allot of the builds he was not interested in doing before they even got off the ground like the Delorean hovercraft episode. Yet gave the ill fated grave digger hearse project a second go which I thought was downright stupid.
