    Hi all,
is there a difference between the block for a carb car and an efi car? Can you put an injected head and all the extras onto a carb block? What's the horse power difference?

    Regards,
    Ed

I used an injected automatic block with external oil filter, ended up using the injected head, but the standard head also fitted.

I think the injection head flows better from experience not measurement. If you've got both heads it would be interesting to measure the air intake and exhaust ports to see if there are any differences EFI versus carb. I fitted twin Weber IDFs to a 23 EFI head and with a free flowing exhaust it delivered 138 bhp on a rolling road, way above what a normal DS23 carb car delivers. So I'd go with the EFI head every time.

Ok, sounds like it's relatively straight forward. Just idle curiosity at the moment! Perhaps a future project

    cheers,
